The moulded in ladders and stairs can be improved with photo-etch.
To display the finished model, I have a wooden base with engraved name plate. It's been a while, so not 100% where it is. The deck gaps were filled and sanded.
The deck fitting at the bow were picked out with the deck colour. The deck was repainted at the same time.
I decided to fit the propellor shafts. These are made of the shaft and supports.
These attach to the hull ready for painting. I'll attach the actual props. later.
The White Ensign ladder set has a good selection, including some which are cut to size.
There are some ladders which go up the finnel and superstructure side which need sanding off.
Some ladders were cut to size and secured to the superstructure.
I painted some steps in the side colour.
The sides of the staires were bend into shape and secured to the hull.
The next step will be to do some more work on the superstructure.
